"In the aftermath of tragedy, we are haunted."
This formed the basis of what writer/director Martyn Park wanted to explore in his new feature film iSOLATE. From the psychological to the elemental, iSOLATE takes a different perspective on the classic haunted house genre by combining elements of minimalist social realism with a more stylized mystery suspense. In a role for which she received the Best Actress award at the Los Angeles Fear and Fantasy Film Festival, Jacinta John plays Scout Taylor, a young woman who returns to the family's remote cattle station to assist her ailing father (Terry Serio) after the sudden death of her mother. One morning after feeding the horses, Scout returns home to cook her father breakfast only to discover he has disappeared. What unfolds is an intimate and haunting journey as Scout attempts to unravel this mystery: a mystery that will force her to face her gravest fear.
